Introduction

This privacy policy has been developed to inform you about the privacy practices used by Verify (“Verify”, “we”, “us” or “our”) in connection with our websites, products, and services. It describes which data are collected, how the data are used, if the data are stored, the security provisions of the data storage, how to correct or update your data and how you can opt out of the use of your data.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you sign up on our website to be notified. By authorizing Verify to have access to this information, you agree that Verify may collect, store and use this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

What do we use your information for?

The information we collect is used to send product update notices, new service updates, security notices and maintenance updates.

How do we protect your information?

Throughout this policy, we use the term ' personal information ' to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not identify a specific user. Verify takes reasonable precautions, as described herein, to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

We store and process your personal and transactional information on our computers in the United States and elsewhere in the world where Verify facilities or our service providers are located, and we protect it by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable US federal and state regulations. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files, and we authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities.

We store our customer's personal information securely throughout the life of the customer's account. Verify will retain your personal information for a minimum of five years or as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations or resolve disputes.

We do not sell, exchange, transfer, or give your information to any other company for any reason without your explicit consent, other than for the purpose of delivering a requested product or service.

Use of cookies to fulfill services

When you access our website or use our applications or services, we or companies we work with may place small data files called cookies or pixel tags on your computer or other devices. We use these technologies to:

  • Recognize you as a Verify customer;
  • Customize Verify services, content, and advertising;
  • Measure product and marketing effectiveness;
  • Collect information about your computer or other access device to mitigate risk, help prevent fraud and promote trust and safety.

We may also use cookies and web beacons to gather statistical information. Like most online businesses, we use cookies and web beacons on our websites and through marketing related emails to gather and analyze non-personal information such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, ISP, referring page, operating system, date/time and basic geographical information.

What happens to personal information if your account is terminated?

If your Verify account is terminated (either voluntarily or involuntarily), all of your personal information is given the “deactivated” status in our relevant databases. However, termination of your account does not necessarily mean your personal information has been immediately deleted from our database. Under normal circumstances, data will be removed within 3 months; however we will retain and use your personal information as necessary in order to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements to the extent permitted by law.

Use of server logs for diagnostics or to gather statistical information

Our servers automatically record information ('Log Data') created by our services during their use. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, visited pages, location, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms and cookie information. We use this information to diagnose and improve our services. We will either delete the Log Data or remove any account identifiers, such as your username, full IP address or email address, after 6 months or we will retain it for as long as necessary to the extent permitted by law.
